APSA's 24th Asian Seed Congress (#ASC2017)

APSA’s annual Asian Seed Congress is the largest and most significant seed industry event in the world, and is a prime opportunity to grow your business, get noticed, generate deals and gain an edge in the most populous and lucrative region in the world. From India to China, Turkey to Australia, Kyrgyzstan to Sri Lanka, Philippines to Pakistan, Thailand to Japan – the people that matter the most in the movement of seed to/from the Asia Pacific are there. The 24th Asian Seed Congress (#ASC2017) is scheduled to take place November 13-17, 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2015, the event was organized in Goa, India.

APSA had initially planned and announced for the 2017 Asian Seed Congress to be held in Manila, but due to emergency travel restrictions imposed by the Philippines Government ahead of the 31st ASEAN Summit, APSA’s EC has decided to hold the 24th Asian Seed Congress in Bangkok instead, while looking to hold the 25th ASC in Manila in November, 2018, instead of Thailand as initially planned.

The APSA was established in 1994, through the cooperation of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and DANIDA, with the aim of promoting quality seed production and marketing in the Asia and Pacific Region. Today, APSA is the largest regional seed association in the world. It has strong links with international organisations such as FAO, CGIAR institutions, ISF, ISTA, UPOV, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, the World Trade Organization, among others. APSA members include national seed associations, government agencies, public and private seed companies, and associate members.
