TAFE launches Free of Cost Tractor Rental Platform

Tractors and Farm Equipment Ltd (TAFE), India’s second largest tractor manufacturer has launched the JFarm Services in Telangana, a CSR scheme that sought to boost access to farm mechanisation solutions for the small and marginal farmers via rental of tractors and other modern farm equipment.

Tractors and Farm Equipment Ltd (TAFE), India’s second largest tractor manufacturer has launched the JFarm Services in Telangana, a CSR scheme that sought to boost access to farm mechanisation solutions for the small and marginal farmers via rental of tractors and other modern farm equipment.

In addition to improving the access, the programme would also offer localised weather prediction, latest on mandi prices, agri-news alerts and advisory, increasing the production and income.

The company in a release on 10 December informed about the launch of the scheme in collaboration with the State government. S.K. Joshi, company Chief Secretary launched JFarm Services in Telangana in presence of Principal Agriculture Secretary, C.Parthasarathi and Agriculture Commissioner, Rahul Bojja.

The new scheme will facilitate the renting of tractors and modern farm machinery free of cost to the farmers through its F2F or Farmer-to-Farmer rental platform. Also it will be available in all the 31 districts in the State. TAFE will work together with the agricultural development officers of the state government in order to ensure broad outreach and successful roll-out of the platform.

TAFE also disclosed the JFarm Services App, which will connect tractor holders and Custom Hiring Centres (CHCs) run by tractors and equipment owners directly to the farmers looking for  farm mechanisation solutions.

Farmers can hire or rent tractors and other equipments through the JFarm Services Android app or can call at the toll-free number - 1800-4-200-100/1800-208-4242.
