Ideal Breakfast to start your day

We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It gives our body the required energy that it actually needs to start the day. But due to lack of time and busy schedules we hardly pay attention to this fact.  Believe it or not, but a good breakfast can either make or break your day. Many people don't realize the importance of a good breakfast, but if you make it a daily practice, you will surely feel the difference.

And when we say a good breakfast that doesn’t mean stuffing your stomach with anything you get but eating the right food with nutrient values.

Here we have some ideal breakfast for you:

1. Dalia or Vegetable Dalia

Dalia or Vegetable dalia is a great meal to start with. Dalia is made with broken wheat, which is easy to digest and is full of nutrition. Dalia is high in fiber and is considered to be one of the best foods for weight loss. There are plenty of ways to make dalia – you can make it with milk and sugar or can add few vegetables like beans, peas and carrots to give a different taste.

2. Sprouts salad

Sprouts salad is another nutritious breakfast. Sprouts also known as ‘ankurwali dal’ are germinated seeds of grains and legumes. Sprout salads are very easy to make and is perfect meal to start your day. They are full of dietary fiber and vitamins & minerals. Sprouts are easy to digest and tasty to eat.

3. Upma

Upma, a south-Indian dish is yet another wholesome option. As upma is made of semolina, it provides our body with sufficient energy to sustain throughout the day. In every 100 grams of semolina, there is about 71 gm of carbohydrates, 3 gm of fiber, 12 gm of protein and just one gram of fat.   It also contains minerals such as calcium, iron, phosphorous, potassium, sodium and zinc. To make your meal more delicious, you can have it with sambhar.

4. Oats

No doubt Oats are one of the healthiest grains on earth. They are a gluten-free wholegrain and a good source of minerals, vitamins, fiber and antioxidants. Oots or Oatmeal can be made in many ways - you can make it by adding milk or water. For those who don’t like simple oats can add few vegetables in it and give it a twist. And for those who don’t have this much time also can buy ready-to-eat oats from the nearby grocery store.

5. Poha

Poha is a much loved Indian breakfast. This great meal is made up of 76 percent carbohydrates and about 23 percent fats, which makes it a great breakfast item. Moreover these healthy carbs gives energy to your body to carry out daily functions. Poha is very light on the stomach and can be digested easily hence many people prefer it for evening snacks as well. Poha never causes any type of bloating and keeps you full for longer.

6. Chana daal paratha

Chana daal, as many of you may know, is a power-packed legume.  Chana daal has a lot of protein, fiber, and other essential minerals. And if you combine it with whole wheat flour to make Parathas, it turns out as a healthy meal which can be eaten any time of the day.  To make it more delicious, you can add finely-chopped pieces of onions, ginger, coriander in your chana daal parathas.

7. Cheela

Call it besan or chickpea flour is another great source of protein. And cheela made up of besan is another ideal breakfast for you. It is an easy-to-make recipe, which requires just 10-15 minutes. In addition, besan cheela with mint chutney can help you get your metabolism up for the entire day.

To conclude, if you start your day with a perfect or ideal breakfast then you remain fit and energetic for the entire day. The meals mentioned above are very nourishing and healthy and the best thing about them is that they can be easily made in the morning.
