Bhind, 8 August, 2018: Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT), India’s leading manufacturer of off-highway tires through their distributor, M/s M.P Tyres Pvt Ltd, Gwalior and Gram Vikas Sangathan, Pandari have decided to extend their wholehearted support to students studying in all government schools of Pandari village, in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh. As part of this noble initiative, BKT and Gram Vikas Sangathan, Pandari today provided free school bags and notebooks to over 210 talented students at a ceremony in Pandari village. The emphasis of this initiative was to honour these talented students who have enrolled themselves in government schools despite the adverse economic and social conditions prevailing all around them.
Shri Chandan Kalra, Distributor – BKT Tires was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The ceremony witnessed presence of distinguished guests such as Vishambhar Singh Sikarwar (D.E.O Bhind), Shri Bhola Singh Kushwaha (B.E.O.), Shri C.P. Chauhan (Station in-charge Umari), Shri PL Meena (Manager, Central Bank of India Branch Pandari), Shri Rupendra Shrivastva (Regional Manager, BKT) and Shri Gaurav Singh Kushwa (Area Manager, BKT). Mr. Rajiv Poddar, Joint Managing Director, BKT, said, “Children are the future of our nation and encouraging them to complete their education and achieve their ambitions is a noble task.
Education is important for all but is especially important for the students residing in rural and marginalised communities since it can become an important tool to provide these children with a bright future thereby ushering in development and well-being in their respective communities.” The main objective of the program involved encouraging and educating these children and thereby gently nudging their interest towards education.
