FIL Industries Limited has won the national award by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for its “Outstanding Contribution in Backward Integration” in Agriculture and Food Processing.
FIL Industries Ltd is a business organization, based in Jammu and Kashmir, with interests in agriculture, infrastructure development, food and beverage and hospitality management. The award was in recognition of FIL’s unique contribution in cold chain supply management systems through its fully integrated facility for food processing and agro infrastructure.
Syed Junaid Altaf, Executive Director at FIL, said, “The award validates FIL’s synergistic business model in the entire agri-consumer value chain and the pioneering work the company has done over the last three decades from the farm-to-consumer level." It also recognizes the global standards of farmer engagement, product delivery and customer satisfaction that have been a perennial focus of the organization.
The award was presented at ‘7th National Cold Chain Summit’, organized by CII’s Food and Agriculture Center of Excellence in association with Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) and National Center for Cold Chain Development (NCCD) which held at Lalit, New Delhi.
