CNH Industrial hosted a “Mega Customer Meet and Delivery Function” at its new manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune with some 500 farmers from across the country. The event was hosted by Carlo Lambro, New Holland Agriculture Brand President, Stefano Pampalone, Chief Operating Officer APAC - CNH Industrial, Gabriele Lucano, Country Head - CNH Industrial India, Bimal Kumar, Director Sales & Marketing India for the Agriculture brands, and other representatives of the Company’s senior management team.

The highlight of the event saw the official delivery of two TC5.30 combines with cab, 40 tractors, 30 balers, and a forage harvester FP230 from New Holland Agriculture, and 27 Case IH A4000 sugar cane harvesters.

The site of the new Pune manufacturing plant, where the ceremony took place, extends over 70 acres of land. It is dedicated to the production of New Holland Agriculture combine harvesters – including the new TC5.30 model –, Case IH sugar cane harvesters, and other speciality machinery.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Carlo Lambro, New Holland Agriculture Brand President said: “We have a long history in India, where we were the first to offer the most appropriate mechanization solutions to Indian farmers for improving their crop productivity. We have been able to do this by combining the global experience we developed over more than 120 years of operation, with the local manufacturing and product development capabilities we have established in this country. This has enabled us to play a major role in changing the face of Indian agriculture for the last two decades with the agricultural equipment, the technologies, and the services they need to ensure their success.”

Mr. Stefano Pampalone, Chief Operating Officer APAC, CNH Industrial, commented: “India is an important market for CNH Industrial, and we are investing in our manufacturing plants in this country and in our dealer network, in order to achieve the productivity and efficiency they need. Our two brands, New Holland Agriculture and Case IH together, offer the widest product offering in this market, which covers the entire agricultural production cycle, as well as specialized equipment.”

Mr Gabriele Lucano, CNH Industrial Country Head, stated: “Indian agriculture faces the key challenge of meeting the increasing demand for food grains of a growing population with limited arable land. The solution to this need for greater productivity is mechanization with the right equipment and effective support. Our New Holland Agriculture and Case IH brands are able to bring their global experience and develop specific solutions for the local market and farming conditions. Our relentless efforts have been recognized by our valued customers, as shown by the high ratings in Product Performance and for Customer Satisfaction achieved in customer surveys.”

CNH Industrial operates a well-established state-of-the-art tractor manufacturing plant and R&D Centre in Greater Noida. In this facility, it produces New Holland Agriculture tractors ranging from 35 to 90 hp for the domestic market and for export to 50 countries across the globe.

New Holland Agriculture offers Indian farmers a complete range of ‘crop solutions’ from tillage to post-harvesting, including tractors up to 90 hp, combine harvesters, hay and forage equipment, balers rakes, rotavators and pneumatic planters, and is the market leader for small square balers.

New Holland’s combine offering includes the new TC5.30 HarveStar combine harvester that introduces a host of industry-firsts. It is the most powerful and productive combine in the market with its 130 hp engine, and best-in-class features like the Rotary Separator and double cascaded cleaning shoe with pre-sieve and 15-feet wide cutter bar. A separate maize header is also available for this true multi-crop combine harvester. The mainly mechanical components and good accessibility make the TC5.30 easy and economical to maintain and service. This highly versatile combine offers farmers and contractors the lowest cost of ownership combined with the highest productivity in its segment.

New Holland BC 5060 balers are the market leaders with more than 600 units in operation in India. Besides providing a sustainable solution for energy generation through renewable energy sources in our power-starved country, the baler also contributes to a significant control in environmental pollution levels by utilizing the surplus crop residue otherwise burnt in fields. Each New Holland baler can help produce electricity for 950 rural homes for one year in one paddy season.

A gyro rake complements the baler by collecting the crop residue in windrows for easy pick-up by the baler, thereby increasing its efficiency by 25 to 60%. With a low power requirement of 35 to 40 HP through PTO, the New Holland RKG 129 gyro rake is suitable even for very small farms.

First launched in India in 2010, the Case IH A4000 Series is the market leader in India with hundreds of machines in operation in various sugarcane belts. Specifically designed for small to medium-sized operations or for bigger plantations with reduced row spacing, it suits the Indian land conditions perfectly. These machines have revolutionized sugarcane harvesting by significantly reducing the field-to-factory time and wastage during harvesting.

CNH Industrial’s agricultural brands provide their customers across India with all-round support from training on how to get the best out of their equipment to fast and efficient after-sales service through a network of more than 490 professional dealers and over 990 outlets. The Company has also established a dedicated customer helpline with a toll-free number 1-800-419-0124 to support the farmer fraternity. The helpline is available in Hindi, English, and six other regional languages.
