Codissia Agri Intex 2018 India's Prime Agricultural Trade Fair begins today at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore. The 18th edition of Agri Intex has the vision to transform Indian Agriculture. Along with Codissia, the fair is organized by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Tamilnadu(TNAU), Tamilnadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu Fisheries University and All India Agricultural Implement Manufacturers Association (AMMA). S. P Velumani, Hon'ble Minister for Municipal Administration, Rural Development & Implementation of Special Programme, Govt. of Tamilnadu inaugurated the fair.
This year's focus is on Solar Pumping, Micro Irrigation, Precision farming, Farm mechanization, Soilless Agriculture, Automation, Value Addition& Animal Husbandry. USA, UK, Israel, China, Japan, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and France are the major countries participating countries. More than 1,50,000 visitors are expected in the coming days. R. Doraikkannu, Hon'ble Minister of Agriculture, Govt. of Tamilnadu gave the keynote address. Hon'ble Deputy Speaker of Tamilnadu, Pollachi V Jayaraman, Dr. K Ramasamy, Vice-Chancellor, TANU, Coimbatore, T N Hariharan, IAS, District Collector, Coimbatore, Dr.K. Karthikeyan IAS, Commissioner, Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation were spoken. The four days fair will end on 16th July.
