IAS Swamy takes charge of Coconut Development Board

Raju Narayana Swamy is appointed the new chairman of coconut development board. Swamy is a 1991 batch Kerala cadre IAS officer and a graduate in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT, Madras.

Coconut Development Board has appointed new Chairman. Raju Narayana Swamy took the position on Wednesday. Swamy is a 1991 batch Kerala cadre IAS officer and a graduate in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT, Madras.

Coconut Development Board (CDB) is a statutory body established under the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India for the integrated development of coconut cultivation and industry in the country with focus on productivity increase and product diversification.

Mr. Swamy will be taking the charges from IAS TK Jose, who is a 1988 batch officer of the Indian Administrative Service, Kerala cadre.

 Swamy was the Agriculture Production Commissioner and Principal Secretary of Kerala state government. He has also  held several posts including Agriculture Production Commissioner and Principal Secretary (Agriculture), Kerala Government; Director of Fisheries and of Collegiate Education; Managing Director of Marketing Federation; and Commissioner in the Civil Supplies Department.

Recently, he was the International Observer for the Zimbabwe General Election. He also holds a post-graduate Diploma in IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) from the National Law School, Bengaluru and also has a professional diploma in Public Procurement from the World Bank.
