Nurturing Innovations in the Area of Agriculture

To harness the R&D activities and nurturing innovations in particular areas of mutual interest included agriculture, IT research, Electronics, Information and communication, IT based societal development. The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IITD) signed an Memorandum of Understanding with Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR).

To harness the R&D activities and nurturing innovations in particular areas of mutual interest included agriculture, IT research, Electronics, Information and communication, IT based societal development. The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IITD)  signed an Memorandum of Understanding with Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR). It will catalyze Scientist-to-Scientist contact and transfer of technology to better answer the issues of agriculture and engineering. Partnership and synergy between these organizations will help ICAR and IITD serving Indian Agriculture better.

The MoU shall be helpful to the farming community as well as the scientist working for them in ICAR as well as in IIT Delhi. After the Green Revolution, White Revolution and the Blue Revolution, now is the time of Technological revolution.

DG, ICAR and Director, IITD emphasized for closer partnership between two organizations for Indian agriculture.

Dignitaries highlighted that the collaborations will help in advancement of science and technology in agriculture, engineering and application of engineering and technology in agriculture. It will also catalyze Scientist-to-Scientist contact and transfer of technology to better answer the issues of agriculture and engineering. Partnership and synergy between these organizations will help ICAR and IITD serving Indian Agriculture better.

Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra , Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) and Prof.V. Ramgopal Rao, Director, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, signed a MoU for collaborative R&D activities here. The objective of MoU is to harness the multi-disciplinary R&D activities and nurturing innovations in particular areas of mutual interest included agriculture, IT research, Electronics, Information and communication, IT based societal development.

Prof. B.R.Mehta, Dean, Research & Development, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi; Prof. S.K. Khare, Associate Dean, R&D, IIT Delhi; Dr. S Mauria ADG (IR) and Dr. Pawan Kumar Agrawal, Assistant Director General, National Agricultural Science Fund (NASF) and other officials were also present on this occasion.
