Sachin Suri, left his corporate job and entered the world of agriculture and organic food last year when he went out to discover the plight and state of the Indian farmers in northern and central India. For an year Mr. Suri travelled to various villages and hamlets of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttrakhand to mention a few. He realized that in this modern and chemically treated world, there are a lot of traditional ways which the farmers are relying upon to grow their crops.

This organic and traditional modes of producing crops influenced him and he opened his organic store named “Sarasvi” that fetches its name from the sense of purity and transparency as clear as water. Sarasvi gets its pulses, rice, besan, wheat/wheat flour, oil etc. directly from the farmers. The farmers are in direct contact with Mr. Suri and the produce is procured from the farmers at their location.

Mr. Suri says, “Agriculture is one of the weird-est sectors, since here, the producers or the owners of the entity does not determine the price of their own produce, but the market does. We wanted to give the farmers the real price of their hard work and at Sarasvi, we make sure that happens."

The owner, Sachin Suri talks about how he left his corporate life of 15 years to accommodate himself in the world of Organics. He owns a store in Gurgaon, NCR region and runs it by directly interacting with the farmers and taking the produce from them which is not decided by the mandi prices, but depends on the cost of production and farmer’s profit margin.

Sarasvi, unlike other organic stores, procures products from farmers which are grown by traditional methods and tries to offer a price that can be afforded by the masses. The Farmers and buyers can contact  Sachin Suri at +91 9810287473.
