The government of Telangana accords high priority for the development of renewable energy, electric vehicle, energy storage and new energy sectors. In line with this, they have introduced new initiatives to further develop and promote it. Some examples of this are- Telangana Electric Vehicle & Energy Storage Policy 2020- 2030, and Telangana Solar Power Policy 2015. The state presently uses renewable energy for 25% of its power generation.

As a result, Telangana is now the second-largest producer of solar power in the country. The State is attracting numerous investments in the electric vehicle industry, energy storage sector, new & renewable energy space.
