Chautala told media that 98% of farmers received payment for their produce totaling Rs. 11,819 crores directly into their bank accounts within 48 hours of the procurement.
“The state government procured 58.59 lakh tonnes of paddy as of November 14 despite the Center's objective of 57 lakh tonnes for the current season,” said Minister Chautala, who also oversees the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department.
He further added that 98.7% of the paddy that was procured had been removed from the mandis.
The procurement season has come to an end on November 15.
According to Chautala, 1,456 millers have registered on the "HUM Portal," and only after being physically verified by MSMEs, the paddy is distributed to them in order to completely avoid the possibility of "Ghost Billing" in any situation.
The state's GST collections have increased by 22.71% to Rs 18,290 crore so far compared to Rs 14,302 crore at this time last year, according to the Deputy CM.
"Haryana is the top state when comparing consumption and production-based states. Sikkim, Goa, and Delhi are the only three states ahead, and Delhi is a consumption-based state with little production, he continued.
Chautala, who also holds the Excise portfolio, told reporters that strong development had also been seen in excise collections.
The excise year for Haryana, which ends on June 7, has seen an increase of 23%, with total revenue of Rs 5,125 crore. By the end of the current fiscal year, we would have surpassed the Rs 9,500 crore mark, he said.
CCTVs are used to monitor our distilleries, according to Chautala, who also noted that 55% of liquor stores have installed point-of-sale systems, and the remaining 46% will be required to do so by the end of the year or face penalties.
