Port Blair's Veer Savarkar Int'l Airport's New Building

PM Modi will inaugurate the New Integrated Terminal Building of Veer Savarkar International Airport, Port Blair

With a total built-up area of around 40,800 sqm., the new terminal building will be capable of handling about 50 lakh passengers annually

Veer Savarkar International Airport, Port Blair is a Civil Enclave under the control of Indian Navy in which the Passenger Terminal Building and Apron is admnistered by AAI 

An Apron suitable for two Boeing-767-400 and two Airbus-321 types of aircraft has also been constructed at Port Blair Airport making the airport now suitable for parking ten aircraft at a time

The Andaman & Nicobar Islands with its exotic flora and fauna have an immense scope for tourism  and have been recognized as an eco-friendly tourist destination

Cellular Jail also known as Kālā Pānī was a colonial prison in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Along with an international-designated airport, A&N Islands have a few airstrips for military and emergency purposes too!
