Madhya Pradesh accounts for 8.77% of India's carrot production, with
approximately 167,590 tonnes annually from districts like Indore, Ratlam, and Dewas.
Contributing 9.37% of the country's carrots, Uttar Pradesh produces
178,970 tonnes annually, particularly from districts like Hathras, Baghpat, and Meerut.
With 11.77% of India's carrots, Punjab yields around 224,740 tonnes
annually, notably from districts like Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and Amritsar.
West Bengal is a major player, with 12.32% of the national production,
totaling 235,390 tonnes yearly, especially from districts like Nadia, Bardhaman, and
