Kerala Forest Research Institute
The Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI) is a non-profit organization headquartered in Peechi, Thrissur, India. It was founded in 1975 as part of the Kerala Government's Science and Technology Department, and in 2003 it became a part of the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology, and Environment. KFRI is an interdisciplinary research team that focuses on tropical forests and forestry. Over the past three decades, this Institute has substantially contributed to tropical forestry and biodiversity conservation studies.
