The National Seminar on Doubling Income through Sustainable and Holistic Agriculture (DISHA) focuses on the sustainable enhancement of productivity and economics of agriculture. Specifically it lays emphasis on the socio-economic issues related to agriculture, livelihood of peasantry, resource-use efficiency, abiotic and biotic stress factors, ethnic knowledge, climate change, and global warming and their sustainable management. Our Planet is adorned with colossal resources to sustain life and livelihood. However, it is finite and indiscriminate exploitation has created an imbalance leading to loss of productivity and reduced gains from agriculture. As of now, the peasantry is facing a crisis like situation due to unfavorable climate, degraded soil fertility, the high cost of production, improper marketing channels, etc.

DISHA plans to provide a platform to the scientist, researchers, students, policy makers, farmers and traders related to agriculture and allied entrepreneurs with following thematic areas:
