National Public Procurement Conclave

The total value of procurement of both Central and State Government organizations is over INR 5 Lakh Crore per annum. By setting up Government e-Market Place (GeM), the Government has ushered in huge structural changes in the entire public procurement machinery. GeM is a state-of-the-art public procurement platform that has used technology to remove entry barriers for bonafide sellers and has created a vibrant e-marketplace with a wide range of goods and services.
   
Government e-Market Place (GeM) is an end-to-end procurement system developed for the purchase of goods and services of common use by government buyers. As per Rule 149 of the GFR-2017, procurement of Goods and Services by Ministries/ Departments of Central Government has been made mandatory for Goods or Services available on GeM.
    
Presently, more than 200000 products in about 150 categories and hiring of transport service are available on GeM portal. Around 14000 buyers along with around 36000 sellers are already been associate/registered with GeM.
   
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with Government e-Marketplace (GeM) is organizing the National Public Procurement Conclave on 11–12 December 2017 at the India Habitat Center, New Delhi.
  
This conclave will be a knowledge sharing and a B2B platform connecting buyers & sellers to share their experiences and opportunity for marketing with minimal efforts. Suppliers from industry will have opportunity to meet Procurement Managers from various Government Departments and PSUs to introduce their products and services.
