According to a Harvard Business Review research, the rise in global food demand is expected to range from 59% to 98% by 2050. This poses both a challenge and an opportunity. Food demand is expected to rise by 60% as India's population exceeds 1.7 billion.
Despite substantial progress, India's agricultural sector has yet to catch up to world norms. To meet global standards, farms must be modernized, adopt cutting-edge technology, invest heavily in irrigation, seeds, and fertilizer, and shift towards high-value commodities like as horticulture, poultry, and dairying.
Telangana's economy is built on agriculture. The state has vast resources, including fertile soils, various farming patterns, and a reliable irrigation system. Telangana state has targeted agriculture as a means of improving farmer and community well-being, educating on the most recent technical farming knowledge, and training framers to increase agricultural production and productivity.
In this context, ASSOCHAM, in collaboration with The Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) and the Department of Agriculture, Government of Telangana, will host TS-Agritech 2023, a Conference and Exhibition on Latest Agriculture Technologies, from June 9 to 11, 2023 at the Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Warangal, Telangana.
The conference will present and discuss novel techniques and technology for sustainable agricultural development, as well as sharing knowledge and best practices for increasing agricultural production, profitability, and resilience. It will also serve as a forum for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to network and collaborate, as well as identify potential and problems for scaling up and adopting agricultural innovations.
The expo's goal is to provide a forum for presenting products available to boost farm yields and an ideal opportunity to reach a large number of receptive farmers by showcasing the latest advances in all segments of agriculture.
