Difference between fresh ginger and dry ginger

Since fresh ginger has a hot, dry quality, it should not be utilised for an extended period. However, despite being snigdha (oily) in nature, dry ginger is more potent and can be taken for a longer period of time.

Dry ginger has deep tissue level action.
