Haryana CM Manohar Lal to Inaugurate Dhanuka Agritech’s R&D Center for Farmers at Palwal Tomorrow

The R&D center will have an Organic synthesis lab, Analytical lab, Formulation lab, Soil, and water analysis lab, Agri R&D lab, Botanicals lab, Bio-pesticides lab, Bioassay lab, Insect-Rearing Lab, and training center.

Dhanuka Agritech, one of the leading agrochemical companies in the country, has set up a new research and development center at Palwal in Haryana with an investment of Rs 10 crore.

On November 4, the Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal will inaugurate the state-of-the-art 'Dhanuka Agritech Research & Technology Centre’ (DART). Minister of State for Power and Heavy Industries, Government of India, Krishan Pal Gurjar; Agriculture Minister, Govt. of Haryana, J P Dalal; Deepak Mangla, MLA Palwal, Vice Chancellor of Chaudhary Charan Singh, Haryana Agriculture University (HAU), Dr. (Prof) B R Kamboj and Vice Chancellor of Maharana Pratap Horticulture University, Prof. Samar Singh along with other dignitaries will also be present at the inauguration event to bless the upcoming research center. The facility will be open to farmers, researchers, and other stakeholders of the agriculture sector.

The facility is equipped to undertake basic, applied, and adaptive research to address current and future challenges for the sustainable development of Indian agriculture.

Dhanuka's R&D center will benefit farmers in a number of ways by developing innovative extension strategies and formulating effective mechanisms for transferring technologies to farmers for enhanced and sustainable agricultural production.

The new R&D facility will also enable researchers in the agriculture sector to undertake scientific studies. The facility will also be open to farmers for soil testing, water analysis, and testing of Bio-pesticides among others.

Commenting on the initiative, R. G. Agarwal, Chairman of Dhanuka Group said, “It has been our endeavor to adopt and promote scientific and research-based best practices in the agriculture sector. The new Research Centre will go a long way in this direction. The facility will be open for farmers and researchers and will help us in promoting well-proven practices including the usage of technology like drones and precision farming techniques in the agriculture sector."

"The center will also help policymakers and the agriculture scientist community to suggest the right prescription for the betterment of farmers and the agriculture sector as a whole. Going forward, we will add more facilities at the center,” he added.
