The government has made Aadhaar Card mandatory for many things. Additionally, it serves as an important identity card for a citizen of India. When purchasing a SIM card, you need Aadhaar Card.

But many people who don’t have their Aadhaar cards, use fake or other people’s Aadhaar cards. According to several media reports, aadhaar card scams are increasing day by day in India. To control this, the government has asked citizens to be careful while using their Aadhaar details. It has also urged people to check how many times their Aadhaar number has been used for SIM purchases.

People can easily check how many times their Aadhaar details have been used through the DoT website. To begin, you will have to open - https://tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in/.

If you find many SIM cards or SIM numbers linked with your Aadhaar number then request the authority to block these numbers. However, not all of India yet has access to this service.

Users in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Jammu & Kashmir can currently use this facility.

However, it is anticipated that the remaining states will have access to it soon.

Know How Many Aadhaar Cards are Linked to Your Mobile Number?

If you're unsure of the number of SIM cards that are connected to your Aadhaar, you can quickly learn by following a few easy steps. You may quickly find out how many SIM cards are active on your device by going to the TAFCO portal of the Telecom Department.

  • Go to https://www.tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in/.

  • Please enter your Aadhaar number. You'll receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

  • Type the OTP that was received on the registered phone number.

  • The list of SIMs linked to your Aadhaar will appear as soon as you enter the OTP.

  • You can also block a number if one is discovered to be illegal.
