In a world where dreams were given wings and aspirations soared high, Krishi Jagran, the harbinger of agricultural knowledge, took a step further.

With a grand inauguration ceremony, Krishi Jagran unveiled its latest initiative, Wings to Career, at its headquarters in New Delhi. Wings to Career is a programme that provides a platform to students who live in remote areas and cannot choose the right career path for themselves. It will bridge the gap between students and teachers to build a better future.

The event was graced by numerous stalwarts from the industry working in the field of education and agriculture. The ceremony began with a warm welcoming note by Mamta Jain, Editor and CEO of Agriculture World, who highlighted why it is important to upskill oneself and to take a leaf out of technology to fit in the ever-evolving industry.

The Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Krishi Jagran, M C Dominic, also addressed the gathering and talked about the importance of providing clarity to students about career options available to them, especially in remote areas. He expressed his gratitude for the support and guidance that would be provided by the leaders, industries, and government, enabling the organization to reach out to brilliant students in remote areas and help them achieve their potential.

Raju Kapoor, Director, Corporate Affairs, emphasized the crucial role that agriculture plays in our lives, stating that it is not a phenomenon for a day but forever. He also highlighted the significance of technology and how it is changing the face of agriculture, providing digital opportunities to women and offering new avenues for employment and entrepreneurship.

Dr S.N. Jha, DDG, Engineering, ICAR, and Dr Ramesh Mittal, Director, NIAM, joined the event online and shared their valuable insights on accelerated agriculture and agriculture marketing, respectively. Morup Namgil, Head Agritech IFFCO- Kissan, also shared his views on the challenges faced by the sector.

The honorable chief guest of the event, Dr R C Agarwal, DDG, Education, ICAR, added that the field of agriculture has become more attractive now, and the number of candidates taking interest in the field is increasing day by day. He emphasized the importance of technology and how it can help revolutionize the agriculture sector.

Prof. Moni Madaswamy, Former Director General at National Informatics Center, Government of India, congratulated the team and highlighted the potential of informatics; how to convert waste to wealth. He said, "IT professionals are coming from the US to pursue a career in agriculture." Of course, there is a reason behind it. 

Lastly, Dr P K Pant, COO of Krishi Jagran, thanked all the speakers and attendees for their valuable contribution and support, concluding the program on a high note. Krishi Jagran's Wings to Career initiative promises to be a game-changer, bringing together industry professionals, experts, institutions, and students and opening up new avenues of growth and development in the field of agriculture.
