"I am pleased to inform the audience that the All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi, just yesterday entered into an MoU with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, which is also on the same lines as Safdarjung Hospital," the Minister stated.

Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, speaking on the occasion, stated that the central government is working to establish a separate wing for integrative medicine, an approach that combines conventional medicine with traditional treatments, in all medical colleges and hospitals. The government has established 1,50,000 health and wellness centres on various platforms to promote meditation, yoga, and other activities.

"In the coming days, both ministries are working on having a separate department for integrative medicine in all AIIMS, as well as research arrangements," he added. In this regard, the current event will be a watershed moment in the establishment of Integrative medicine in India.

"A wellness approach is urgently needed. Healthy people create a healthy society, and a healthy society is critical to the development of a great nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's wellness approach is aimed at deferring ailments and diseases, and the integrative approach will play an important role in spreading wellness to keep ailments at bay, according to the health minister.

Prof. Tanuja Manoj Nesari, Director of the All India Institute of Ayurveda, stated, "The future of medicine lies in integration, and multiple therapies such as Panchakarma, Yoga, Lifestyle, and related infrastructure are available in Safdarjung hospital, which has benefited as many as 6000 patients to date."

It is worth noting that the All India Institute of Ayurveda has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, for academic and research collaboration. Dr. M. Srinivas, Director, AIIMS, New Delhi, and Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, both signed the MoU.
