The first Expo on Organic North East, which will be hosted by the Department of Agriculture in Assam and organized by the Sikkim State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd (SIMFED) with Krishi Jagran as the expo's media partner, is scheduled to take place from February 3 to 5, 2023.

With only 9 days left for the first Expo on Organic North East to kickstart, here are some reasons why farmers and agriculture corporates must visit the event.

Why should farmers attend the SIMFED Expo on Organic Farming?

Buyer-Seller Meets: An important part of the Fair, buyer-seller meetings bring together local and international customers (including exporters, wholesalers, and retailers) with suppliers and farmer organizations/groups to conduct actual business. B2B meetings are designed to meet both buyers' and sellers' demands. At the location, a special Buyer Seller lounge has been established as well.

Workshop for Farmers: Special workshop sessions are being attended by farmers from all across the nation and the state. These lectures will take place in Hindi, English, and Assamese. Experts in value chains and organic farming will be in charge of these sessions. Participants will gain knowledge of industry trends, consumer demand, the certification procedure for organic products, export prospects, and other facets of natural agriculture.

Pavilions of State: Various government schemes and marketing support will be made available to farmer groups via the Central and State Government pavilions.

Why should agriculture corporates attend the SIMFED Expo on Organic Farming?

Exhibition: A variety of organic food and non-food goods will be on display at more than 160 booths from organic and natural brand names. Among the exhibitors are exporters, retailers, farmer organizations, producers of organic inputs, government organizations, and others.

International Conference: A two-day conference on knowledge exchange will take place. Students will invite the best exporters from India and around the globe. In addition to farmers, traders/exporters, researchers, non-governmental organizations, state and federal governments, and more than 200 other participants from diverse sectors attended.
