5 Easy Tips to Remove Holi Colors from Skin

By Saurabh Shukla

Oil Massage

Use coconut oil, olive oil, or any other gentle oil to massage your skin. This helps loosen the colors and makes it easier to wash them off later.

Gram Flour (Besan) Scrub

Make a paste of gram flour with a little water and rub it gently on your skin. This acts as a natural exfoliant and helps remove the colors effectively.

Yogurt (Curd) Mask

Apply a mixture of yogurt and honey on your skin. Yogurt has natural cleansing properties that can help remove colors, while honey moisturizes the skin.

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is acidic and help fade colors. You can mix lemon juice with water and apply it to your skin, or directly rub a lemon wedge on the colored areas.

Multani Mitti (Fuller's Earth) Pack

Make a paste of Multani Mitti with water and apply it to your skin. Let it dry, then wash it off with lukewarm water. This helps remove colors and also soothes the skin.

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera has cooling and soothing properties that help calm irritated skin after playing Holi. Apply fresh aloe vera gel on the colored areas and leave it on for some time before washing it off.

Warm Water Bath

Take a warm water bath using a mild soap or body wash. Gently scrub your skin with a soft loofah or washcloth to remove the colors. Avoid using hot water as it can further irritate the skin.
