Dairy farming is one of the most profitable sectors in agriculture, offering not just milk, curd, and ghee, but also organic manure that reduces costs and enhances production.
A young couple from Rajasthan, transformed their modest dairy farm into a thriving business with Kinaya Organic Farms, achieving an annual turnover of Rs 1.5 crore.
Vibhor started Kinaya Organic Farms in 2017 at the age of 22 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Despite having no family background in agriculture, they were inspired to pursue dairy farming.
Vibhor chose the Gir breed due to its beneficial properties. Starting with 20 cows, they expanded to 100 Gir cows by focusing on breed improvement and proper training.
The main challenges were selecting the right breed, managing trained labor, and effectively marketing their milk. Proper training and strategic planning were key to their success.
Using Facebook & YouTube, Vibhor showcased their farm’s daily routine, building trust with customers and selling Gir cow milk at Rs 125 per liter.
With an initial investment of Rs 20-25 lakh, they now produce 300-350 liters of milk daily, sell ghee locally and internationally, and achieve a significant annual profit.
The journey of Vibhor and Ishita Jain demonstrates how passion, perseverance, and sustainable practices can lead to immense financial success and impact the agricultural sector positively.
