Animal Husbandry Dept Organizes 4000 Village Level Camps in Aspirational District for Awareness on Entrepreneurship Schemes

As part of Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahostav, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying organized 4000 village level camps across the Aspirational Districts to raise awareness about entrepreneurship and other beneficiary-oriented schemes of the Department.

Around 2 lakh farmers participated in the awareness campaign virtually through Common Service Centers.

The meeting was presided over by Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, and Rajesh Kumar Singh, Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, on February 22 & 23, respectively.

Attendees were given detailed information about these schemes, as well as instructions on how to apply through the CSC's scheme portal. Around 2 lakh farmers participated in the awareness campaign virtually through Common Service Centers.

Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, addressed the farmers connected through camps and informed them that the National Livestock Mission and Rashtriya Gokul Mission schemes now include breeder farm entrepreneurs and fodder entrepreneurs.

The National Livestock Mission (NLM) will assist in the development of rural entrepreneurship and the creation of better livelihood opportunities for unemployed youth and livestock farmers in the Cattle, Dairy, Poultry, Sheep, Goat, Piggery, Feed and Fodder sectors, paving the way for Atma Nirbhar Bharat.

During the farmer interaction, he emphasized that these schemes will place a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship development and breed improvement in rural poultry, sheep, goat, and piggery, as well as feed and fodder development.

The government is implementing various schemes and programmes to increase poultry productivity, milk and meat production, nutritional security, job creation, and economic prosperity in the country. The Department's overarching vision for the sector is to increase livestock productivity in a sustainable and profitable manner. Presentations and videos were used to explain the impact and success of the schemes.
