Flower arrangement is the art where flower and plant material is used in order to attract people. There are different types of flower arrangement Eastern, Western and European styles which has influenced commercial industry of floriculture.
Western flower arrangement
This style of flower arrangements is associated with mass or a number of flowers and foliage arranged together in graceful manner.
In contrast, the European style emphasizes color and variety of botanical materials not limited to just blooming flowers, in mass gatherings of multiple flowers.
Japanese type of flower arrangement: It is popularly known as ―Ikebana. It is most popular type of flower arrangement. In this only few bloom and branches are used. Ikebana meaning the ―arrangement of flowers of the hemitage along a pond‖-Buddhist monk Semmu.

First school of Ikebana, called the Ikenobo (meaning “ The arrangement of flowers of the hermitage along a pond”) was started by Buddhist monks.

Nageire: meaning “Thrown in”
a) Needs tall upright vases
b)Flowers are arranged as naturally as possible) Flowers must have sufficient stem length) Flower stems are not held with pin holders but supported by cross bars, split bars etc
Jiyu-bana: meaning “Free flowers”
a) Combination of Moribana and Nageire
b) Uses combinations of wood, metal etc, Angles and measurements are ignored but basic rules are intact
Zen’ei-bana: Here beautiful sculpture using wood, stone, rocks or metal are used (eg: depicting a sea side or natural scenery
Morimono:
a) Uses combination of fruits and flower arrangement
b) Ignores all angles and lines as long as the arrangement is triangular and have height, width and depth.
Rikka: Buddhist tradition.
a)Arrangements in the rikka style, which means "standing flowers," involve seven branches that are arranged in a specific way.
b)The intent it to express the Buddhist view of nature and beauty.
