COVID-19: Beware! Drinking Excess Hot Water is Not Good for Your Health

No doubt, a glass of lukewarm water in the morning is good for health, but excess consumption of hot water again and again has many disadvantages. Here is a list of them.

Excess consumption of hot water can be harmful

To prevent the coronavirus, some people are drinking hot water daily. In summers, drinking hot water cannot quench your thirst for so long, but still it is believed that it is effective to keep your throat clean.

No doubt, a glass of lukewarm water in the morning is good for health, but excess consumption of hot water again and again has many disadvantages.

Can Damage Internal Organs of the Body

Drinking hot water again and again can develop the risk of burning internal organs of the body. Internal body organs tissues are very sensitive, and high temperature can affect them and can cause blisters.

Can Damage Kidneys

There is a special capillary system in our kidneys, which helps to flush out excess water from the body. And as per the research, excessive amount of hot water puts more stress on the kidneys than normal. And it may lead to deterioration of kidneys over a period of time.

Insomnia/ Disturbed Sleep

Consuming unnecessary amounts of hot water, especially before bedtime can cause sleep problems. Hot water in the night time makes you urinate more and also increases the pressure on your blood vessel cells.

Affects Blood Volume

Excess consumption of hot water increases the total blood volume. And the closed circulatory system receives extra pressure, and it can cause high blood pressure and other cardio problems.

So, be careful and don’t consider drinking hot water again and again as the only remedy for COVID-19. Just drink lukewarm water 1-2 times a day.
