Bengaluru to Host India's First World Coffee Conference
Bengaluru hosts the 5th World Coffee Conference, a global event focusing on coffee's economic importance, with a theme of sustainability and inclusivity.
Bengaluru is getting ready to host the fifth World Coffee Conference (WCC), a big event that focuses on how important coffee is for economies worldwide. This is the first time a global coffee gathering is happening in India, right in Bengaluru, and it's also the first time in all of Asia.
The International Coffee Organization (ICO) is teaming up with the Coffee Board of India, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Karnataka Government, and the coffee industry to put on this conference. It will take place from September 25 to 28 at the Bangalore Palace and will last for four days.
A lot of important people will be there, including industry leaders, experts, people who buy and sell coffee, folks who own coffee shops, coffee farmers, coffee makers, coffee lovers, and students.
The event will start with an opening ceremony led by the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal. People from more than 80 countries will join, including 2,400 delegates, 117 speakers, 208 businesses showing off their stuff, 10,000 visitors, and over 300 meetings for businesses to connect.
The main focus of this conference is to find ways to help coffee farmers, who are really important in making coffee. The theme for the event is 'Sustainability Through Circular Economy and Regenerative Agriculture.' They also want to make sure countries that produce and drink coffee get along well.
The conference will have talks, workshops, competitions, coffee tastings, and an exhibition with cool coffee stuff. People can make new connections and get more opportunities for their coffee-related businesses. Even if you just want to learn more about coffee, there's something for you here.
There will also be a Coffee Museum with a special dome-shaped building. It will show how coffee is grown in India and how it goes from being a coffee bean to your cup.
So, the World Coffee Conference is a big deal for coffee lovers and people in the coffee industry. It's a chance to learn, make deals, and celebrate the amazing world of coffee.
