Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Sericulture Officer, Emergency Communication Specialist etc. Those interested must read the details and eligibility criteria carefully before applying for this job.  Eligible candidates may apply by June 2, 2022.

Educational Qualification

Selection Process

  • Screening/ Preliminary Exam

  • Personality Test

In cases where the number of eligible candidates for recruitment to the Commission's advertised post(s) is excessively large, the Commission may limit / shortlist the number of eligible candidates to be called for personality test(s) by subjecting them to a two-hour Computer-based Screening Test (objective-type) or Offline Screening Test (objective / descriptive).

  • The marks obtained in the Screening Test are only intended to shortlist the number of candidates for the personality test(s) and should not be interpreted as the candidates' merit for final selection.

  • The minimum pass marks in the Computer Based Test / Offline Test (objective or descriptive) are 25% for candidates in the general category and 20% for candidates in the reserved categories.

  • Any inference made by candidates between their performance in the Screening Test and their final merit at a later stage is completely unwarranted. In this regard, no representation will be entertained.

  • A candidate's final selection will be based solely on his or her performance in the Personality Test, which will be worth a maximum of 100 points.

  • The minimum pass mark in the personality test is 45 points for candidates from the general category and 35 points for candidates from the reserved categories.

  • Where selection is to be made on the basis of performance of candidates who have qualified the Computer Based Test / Offline Test (objective or descriptive) before the Personality Test Board, a candidate who scores higher in the Personality Test will be placed ahead of a candidate who scores lower in the Personality Test.

Steps to Apply

  • Candidates must apply online through the Commission's official website, http://www.hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc.

  • Applications received via any other mode will be rejected immediately.

  • Candidates should use careful when entering their mobile phone numbers and email addresses in the Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) in order to receive immediate notification about their application.

  • The interested and qualified candidate should go to the Commission's official website (http://www.hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc) and click on the "Apply Online" link on the Home Page.

  • After logging into his/her account in OTR, the candidate will register and create his/her profile on "One Time Registration."

  • The candidate's dashboard will display a list of advertisements. The candidate intends to apply.

Before submitting the application, the candidate will be shown a preview of the uploaded documents, and he/she will give an undertaking/declaration that: "It is certified that I have reviewed the preview of all required uploaded documents and am satisfied that they are legible, readable, and true.

  • That I will not object to my candidature being rejected solely because the uploaded documents are unreadable/the scanning quality is poor."

  • No changes will be permitted to an online recruitment application once it has been submitted

  • No representations or correspondence will be accepted in response to the final rejection of a candidate.
