Oyster Plant

Botanically classified as Tradescantia spathacea, the Moses in the Cradle plant is also known as a boat lily, Moses in a basket, Moses-in-the-bulrushes, and oyster plant. Mexico and Central America are the plant's natural habitats. Most people are familiar with it because of its lovely dark green, lance-shaped leaves with purplish-red undersides.
