Greenhouse

A greenhouse, often known as a glasshouse, is a structure meant to protect delicate or out-of-season plants from extreme cold or heat.

Greenhouses in the 17th century were simple brick or timber structures with a normal proportion of window space and some form of heating. Now, the greenhouse evolved into a roofed and walled building constructed of glass with a minimum wooden or metal skeleton. This is because glass got cheaper and more complex ways of heating became accessible.
