Legume

A legume is a form of food derived from a plant that is also known as a legume. Legumes are members of the Fabaceae family, and they all grow in a pod-like structure. A bowl of pea soup is rich in legumes. Legumes include lentils, soy, and clover. Legumes are high in protein and low in fat, therefore they are usually thought to be healthful.
