Rythu Bharosa- PM Kisan Scheme: Andhra Pradesh Government to Provide Rs. 3,900 Crore to Farmers
Government will spend Rs. 3,900 crore under Rythu Bharosa scheme to cover 52.38 lakh farmers. The relief amount will be directly transferred to farmers’ bank accounts.
Agriculture Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Kurasala Kannababu said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will provide the relief fund of Rs. 3,900 Crore to 52.34 lakh farmers of the state.
He said, “CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will release Rythu Bharosa- PM Kisan financial assistance to the farmers.”
The Minister said that the state government, in spite of facing financial troubles, has not backed away from the implementation of their promises, and is committed to providing every possible support to the farmers.
The Agriculture Minister mentioned that during the year 2019-20, the government has spent Rs. 6,173 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme to cover around 46.69 lakh farmers. And during the year 2019-20, the government has spent Rs. 6,928 crore to cover around 51.59 lakh farmers.
Minister Kannababu said, "We will spend Rs. 3,900 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme to cover 52.38 lakh farmers. The relief amount will be directly transferred to farmers’ bank accounts. CM Jagan had promised to give Rs. 12,000 to each farmer every year to meet input costs before the elections but is granting more than that, i.e., Rs. 13,500 keeping in the view the ordeals of farmers."
