Farmer Producer organization (FPO) is an entity formed by the farmers, producers, milkmen, fishermen, weavers, and craftsmen etc to facilitate the growers to sell and buy their produce on a single platform - on a fair and profitable price. It can be a farmer producer company or a cooperative society which enables farmers to share, sell and buy their as well as others’ produce on market rates, based on reliable sources in order to benefit the agriculture community.

This has been done to benefit the producers to give them the benefit of their produce as small or marginal farmers are sometimes exempted from getting the profits.
