1. What is GSP CropScience all about – Give a short brief about the company.
GSP started in 1985 and was founded by Vrajmohan Shah. Back then we used to sell phosphate products but in 3 years we moved to Agro chemicals and since 1988 we have been in the Agro Chemical industry. We are present pan India and export products to over 40 different countries.
2. What types of products or services do you offer?
We manufacture Agro chemicals that provide protection against pest, weed, or fungal attacks against the crop helping farmers achieve a better yield for their hard work.
3. What is the USP of your product/services?
Our USP is we don’t limit ourselves to one vertical of the business. We sell products under our own brand name, we export to companies outside India and we have a presence in Domestic B2B sales. Along with that we hold 40 patents and have filed for over 100 more. Our quality and service are well known in the domestic market.
4. Where do you see the company in the next 10 years?
In the next 10 years we plan on being completely sustainable and running on solar, self-reliant, and would no longer need to import raw materials from China, we aim to have a presence in all major Agro markets.
5. What message would you like to give to our readers who are mainly farmers?
GSP is a company that was started to help the farmers. They are our top priority. Farmers are getting smarter in India and they realize the importance of Agro chemicals in farming. The Indian market has previously been a treatment-based market while mature markets and prevention based. India has made progress and is moving toward preventing measures to avoid the loss of crops. Today India loses over Rs. 7 lac crore worth of crops to these pest attacks. This much-needed change could help the Indian economy a lot in the future.
