3 Young Professional-I Positions at ICAR-IIMR

The ICAR-Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR) in Hyderabad is offering a unique employment opportunity for qualified candidates. A walk-in interview is scheduled for June 11, 2024, to fill three temporary Young Professional-I positions. Each role comes with a monthly remuneration of Rs. 30,000.

Position Overview

Young Professional-I (YP-I) Roles

The positions are temporary, aligned with ICAR guidelines, and initially offered for one year with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and funding.

Salary

  • Emoluments: Rs. 30,000 per month (fixed)

Age Limit

  • Eligibility Age Range: 21-45 years as of June 11, 2024 (with relaxation as per Government rules for SC/ST/OBC & PH candidates).

Position-Specific Details

Position 1: Young Professional-I

Qualifications

  • Essential: Degree in Agriculture, Statistics, Agri-business Management, or related fields from a recognized university.

  • Desirable: 2-3 years of experience, proficiency in computer operations, Microsoft Office, internet usage, and strong communication skills in English and Hindi. Operational knowledge in statistical packages for data analysis and database management, and a diploma or certificate in MS Office is preferred.

Job Description

  • Manage daily operations of the project coordination unit.

  • Update AICRP databases and prepare staff salaries.

  • Allocate contingencies and handle correspondence with AICRP centers.

  • Assist in report preparation, file management, and data compilation.

  • Support the PC in conducting annual group meetings.

  • Travel as required and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Position 2: Young Professional-I

Qualifications

  • Essential: Degree in Agriculture or Statistics from a recognized university.

  • Desirable: 2-3 years of experience, knowledge of statistical packages (including R), database management, web designing, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Good communication skills in English and Hindi are essential.

Job Description

  • Perform data analysis of AICRP trials and format reports.

  • Prepare and update AICRP databases and manage salaries.

  • Correspond with AICRP centers and manage file preparations.

  • Handle CVRC proposals and data compilation.

  • Assist the PC in annual group meetings and other assigned tasks.

Position 3: Young Professional-I

Qualifications

  • Essential: Degree in Agriculture, Diploma in Agriculture, Polytechnic in Agriculture, or a three-year undergraduate degree from a recognized university.

  • Desirable: 3-5 years of experience in agriculture fieldwork, data collection, trial and nursery management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Job Description

  • Oversee trials and nurseries, manage seed inventory, and dispatch trials to AICRP centers.

  • Monitor trial data receipt, maintain test entry database, and manage assets.

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the PC.
