BHU Invites Applications for Raja Jwala Prashad Postdoctoral Fellow Position with Consolidated Fellowship

Qualifications and Eligibility

  • M.Sc. degree in Botany, Plant Science, Life Science, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Microbiology with a minimum of 55% marks, along with a Ph.D. degree in Botany, Plant Science, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Microbiology from Indian Universities or Institutes with NIRF ranking up to 20, or those who have obtained a Ph.D. from abroad.

  • Research experience in the field of molecular plant-microbe interactions, bioinformatics, fungal/microbial natural products, with evidence of original research publications (at least 2 in Q1 or Q2 Journals or SCOPUS/ Web of Science listed Journals).

Age Limit: Candidates should not be aged more than 45 years, with a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Female/Physically handicapped candidates.

Tenure: The position is purely temporary and may be extended for another year based on performance and the availability of funds under the IoE (Institution of Eminence) initiative.

Monthly Remuneration

Rs. 60,000/-pm + HRA of Rs. 10,000/-pm + Contingency of Rs. 50,000/- per annum

Selection Procedure 

  • Candidates will be evaluated based on their academic qualifications and performance as per the university's rules and guidelines. 

  • Shortlisted candidates will receive notification via email for the interview within 05 days of application deadline.

  • The final selection will be determined through the interview process.
