Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) invites online applications for the post of Horticulture Officer, Class-II, between 7th January 2025 (1:00 PM) and 22nd January 2025 (11:59 PM). This is a direct recruitment and full-time post.

Bachelor’s degree in Science (Horticulture) or a postgraduate degree in Agriculture (Horticulture) from recognized agricultural universities.

Basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services rules.

Adequate knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi, or both.





Rs. 39,900/- to Rs. 1,26,600/- (Pay Matrix Level-07).














Age Limitation and Other Information

1. Age Limit:

  • Maximum age: 37 years as of the last date of application.

  • Relaxations:

    • Women (Unreserved): Up to 45 years.

    • Reserved categories (EWS, SEBC, SC, ST): Up to 45 years.

2. Application Process:

  • Candidates must submit only one application per advertisement.

  • Applications are editable until the last date of submission.

3. Application Fee:

  • General category: Rs. 100/- + applicable charges.

  • Reserved categories (Gujarat origin), EWS, Ex-Servicemen, and Physically Disabled: No fee.

  • Reserved categories from other states: Rs. 100/-.

Selection Process:

  1. Preliminary Test:

    • Date: 23rd February 2025.

    • Format:

      • General Studies: 100 questions (100 marks).

      • Subject-Specific: 200 questions (200 marks).

    • Total: 300 questions (300 marks), 3 hours.

    • Candidates scoring less than 15% will not qualify for the interview.

  2. Interview:

    • Candidates are shortlisted based on Preliminary Test scores.
