ICAR-National Institute For Plant Biotechnology (NIPB) invites applications from Indian nationals for temporary engagement under the project titled "Deciphering the genomic and cytogenic factors for the polyploid evolution, speciation, intergenomic interactions and diversification of amphidiploid Brassica", funded by SERB.

Position Details:

• Title of the Project: Deciphering the genomic and cytogenic factors for the polyploid evolution, speciation, intergenomic interactions and diversification of amphidiploid Brassica

• Funding Agency: SERB

• Duration of the Tenure: One year or termination of project, whichever is earlier

• Position: Project Associate-I

• Number of Posts: One

• Age Limit: Upper age limit for application to the post of Project Associate-I is 35 years.

Emoluments:

1. Rs. 31,000/- + 27% HRA per month

2. Rs. 25,000/- + 27% HRA per month

Essential Qualifications:

1. For emoluments at S.No. 1 above:

   • CSIR-UGC NET including Lecturership (Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or

   • A selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Govt. departments and their agencies and organizations

• Post Graduate degree in Natural Science/ Agricultural Science/ Basic Science/ or graduate/post graduate degree in professional courses from a recognized university or equivalent, selected through:

• Post Graduate degree in Natural Science/ Agricultural Science/ Basic Science/ or graduate/post graduate degree in professional courses from a recognized university or equivalent only.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in:

• Cytogenetics

• Genetics and plant breeding

• Plant tissue culture

• Molecular biology

• Bioinformatics tools and techniques

• The positions are purely temporary, on a contractual basis and initially offered for one year or till project duration whichever is earlier.
