ICMR-NIP Invites Applications for Project Research Scientist-I Position, Salary at Rs.56,000: Know the Eligibility, Process to Apply

ICMR-National Institute of Pathology (NIP) is offering an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in cutting-edge research in the field of cancer. Applications are invited for the position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) on a purely temporary basis for an ICMR funded project titled “Analysis of MEG3 Induced Genome-Wide DNA Methylation Patterns in Breast Cancer Cells”, under the guidance of Principal Investigator Dr. S. A. Raju Bagadi, Scientist D, at ICMR-National Institute of Pathology.

Position:

  • Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)

Essential Qualifications:

  • First-class Master’s degree in Nanobiotechnology/Nanoscience/Chemistry/Life Sciences (Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Biophysics/Molecular Biology) from a recognized university OR

  • Second-class post-graduate degree, including integrated PG degrees with Ph.D. in the above-mentioned subjects from a recognized University OR

  • First-class engineering graduate degree of four years in Nanobiotechnology/Nanoscience/Biotechnology from a recognized University.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in the above-mentioned subjects with experience in cell culture, noncoding RNAs, Epigenetics, Next Generation Sequencing in the field of cancer.

Emoluments:

  • Rs.56,000/- per month + HRA (as admissible under the rules) per month fixed without any other allowance.

Age Limit:

  • Upper age limit is 35 years, relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and female candidates as per Govt. of India rules.

  • NIP reserves the right to shortlist candidates in case of receipt of a large number of applications.

  • Shortlisted candidates will be intimated by email.

Documents Required:

  • Selected candidates should bring CV and all the original certificates and a set of self-attested copies of certificates at the time of joining.

  • Candidates working in Govt. Organizations/Public undertaking/autonomous body should bring a No Objection Certificate from his/her employer.
