The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, GOI, is seeking to fill the esteemed position of Joint Director (Extension) at the Directorate of Extension, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, on a deputation basis. Position Details:
The selected candidate will be appointed to the post of Joint Director (Extension) in the pay scale of Rs. 15600-39100 (PB3) with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600/- or Level 11, General Central Service, Group 'A', Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. The appointment will be made on a deputation basis, including Short Term Contract, from eligible officers serving under Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings, Semi-Government autonomous and State organizations, Agricultural Universities, recognized research institutions, or Councils.
Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department, or possessing five years' regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in pay band-3, Rs. 15600-39100/- plus grade pay of Rs. 5400/- (Level 10) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.

Possessing a Master's degree in Agriculture or Agriculture Extension from a recognized university or institute, or a Master's degree in Rural Management or Master of Business Administration with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from a recognized University or Institute, or a Master's Degree in Agriculture Business Management or Vegetable Sciences or Horticulture or Agro-Forestry, or a Degree in Agriculture Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Having three years' experience in coordination and overseeing or execution of Agricultural Extension or Extension Programme in the field of administration or Management of Agriculture or Extension Programme or teaching experience at college or university level in Agriculture or Extension Programme with special reference to training of extension personnel and farmers.

Desirable: Three years' experience in formulation and conduct of extension training programmes.
