JRF and YPII Post at ICAR-IARI, Division of Genetics

A Walk-In-Interview is scheduled to be held on June 4th, 2024, at the Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-12, for the recruitment of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and one Young Professional II (YPII) in externally funded projects. The positions are purely contractual, and interested candidates are invited to attend in person.

Position Details

  • Project: "Generation of mapping population and identification of genomic regions associated with grain proteins in pearl millet" under ICAR-funded project.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

  • Number of Positions: One

  • Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA per month for the 1st and 2nd year, and Rs. 35,000/- + HRA per month for the 3rd year.

  • Essential Qualification:

    • Master’s degree in Genetics & Plant Breeding, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Botany, or any relevant discipline of life sciences with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor's Degree.

    • Candidates with a Post-graduate degree in Basic Sciences must have a NET qualification and 2 years of research experience as per the prescribed guidelines.

Young Professional II (YPII)

  • Number of Positions: One

  • Emoluments: Rs. 42,000/- per month (Fixed)

  • Essential Qualification:

    • Master’s degree in Genetics & Plant Breeding, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Botany, or any relevant discipline of life sciences as per ICAR norms.

  • Age Limit: Maximum age of 35 years for JRF and 21 - 45 years for YP II, as on the date of interview (Age relaxation as per ICAR /GOI guidelines).
