The Division of Plant Pathology at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, invites eligible candidates for a Walk-in-interview to fill the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). The recruitment is for a DST SERB funded CRG project on a purely contractual basis.

Project Details:

  • Project Title: "Functional characterization of potential candidate virulence gene(s) of Magnaporthe grisea and identification of its molecular host targets in pearl millet."

  • Funding: DST SERB

Position Details:

  • Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

  • Number of Posts: one

Emoluments:

  • Emoluments: ₹31,000 + 24% HRA per month for the 1st and 2nd year, ₹35,000 + 24% HRA per month for the 3rd year

Qualifications:

    • Essential: Post-graduate degree in Plant Pathology/Biotechnology/Plant Biochemistry/any other Professional courses (4+2) OR any branch of Life Sciences (3+2) from a recognized university or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks.

    • Desirable: Working experience in molecular biological techniques and works related to proteomics and Bioinformatics.

  • Age Limit: Maximum age is 35 years for men and 40 years for women (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt of India rules)

  • Interested and eligible candidates are required to appear for the walk-in-interview on 15 May 2024 at 09:30 AM.

  • Candidates should bring their complete bio-data in a prescribed Application format. The application format can be obtained by requesting mail to Email: prakashg.ganesan@gmail.com.

  • Applicants must send their application in an editable word file to Email: prakashg.ganesan@gmail.com on or before 10 May 2024 in the prescribed format.

  • Candidates must bring all original certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate, NET/equivalent certificate, degree certificate (either original or provisional), one set of self-attested photocopies of required certificates, an attested copy of a recent passport-size photograph pasted onto the application form, and proof of experience and publications.

  • Reporting time for the interview is 9:00-10:00 AM at the Division of Plant Pathology. Candidates arriving after the specified time may not be entertained.

  • The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis till the termination of the project, subject to satisfactory performance.
