The Division of Plant Pathology at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, is inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a SERB-funded project. This temporary, contractual role is part of a research initiative focused on “Decoding the Molecular Mechanisms of a Pathogenicity-Related Transcriptional Regulator Fow2 of Fusarium oxysporum in Vascular Wilt of Tomato.”

Emoluments: Rs. 31,000 per month + 24% HRA for the 1st and 2nd years, Rs. 35,000 per month + 24% HRA for the 3rd year

Duration: Initially one year, extendable based on project duration and satisfactory performance.
Qualifications Required

Essential: A graduate degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Plant Biology, or Life Sciences, with one of the following:

Candidates who have qualified through the National Eligibility Tests (NET-CSIR-UGC, including lectureship/Assistant Professorship), or GATE.

Selection via other national-level examinations conducted by agencies like DST, DBT, DAE, DRDO, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER, and other similar institutes.

Desirable: Experience in molecular biological techniques, proteomics, and bioinformatics.
Age Limit
- The maximum age for candidates is 35 years. However, age relaxation is provided as per Government of India/ICAR rules:

5 years for SC/ST/Women

3 years for OBC candidates
