Junior Research Fellow Opportunity at PAU: Apply by Feb 28

Department of Plant Pathology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has announced an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in research in the field of Plant Pathology. Applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the scheme, "Determination of Etiology and Management of Fusarium Head Blight (FHB)", for six months or more is open. 

Position Details

Qualifications, Eligibility and Stipend

  • Applicants must possess a B.Sc. degree in Agriculture or Life Sciences with a minimum OCPA of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks.

  • Candidates with an M.Sc. degree in Plant Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry with a minimum of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks are eligible to apply.

  • Candidates with M.Sc. and those with NET qualifications may be recruited as Junior Research Fellows with a monthly stipend of Rs. 31,000 plus a 16% House Rent Allowance (HRA).

  • Candidates without NET qualification may also apply and if selected, will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000 plus 16% HRA.

  • Additionally, candidates possessing a Ph.D. degree in the required discipline at the Master's level are also eligible for the post.

Application Process

  • Interested candidates are required to obtain the prescribed application form from the office of the undersigned upon payment of Rs. 200/- via Bank draft payable at Ludhiana in favor of Comptroller PAU, Ludhiana.

  • Applications must be submitted along with attested copies of certificates to the Head, Department of Plant Pathology, PAU, Ludhiana by 28.02.2024.

Interview Details:

  • The interview for the position is scheduled for 29.02.2024 at 11:30 am in the office at PAU, Ludhiana.

  • Candidates are required to bring original certificates for verification during the interview.
