NIPGR Invites Applications for SRF and Field Assistant Post, Check the Eligibility and More

National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR) invites applications from qualified candidates for temporary positions in ongoing projects. Selected candidates will join the team under the supervision of Dr. Senjuti Sinharoy, Scientist at NIPGR, and be part of innovative projects aimed at advancing genomics-assisted crop improvement.

 Project Details

A. DBT Multi-institutional project: “Characterization of chickpea germplasm resource to accelerate genomics-assisted crop improvement”

1. Senior Research Fellow/Project Associate-II (01 post)

• Emoluments: Rs. 35,000 + 24% HRA per month

• Qualification:

• M.Sc. in Biological Sciences with at least 60% (or equivalent) in Master degree

• Two years post-master experience

• Proficiency in RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, qRT-PCR analysis, and microscopic techniques

• Preferred Experience:

• Work experience in root nodule symbiosis

• Proven publication record in related fields

• Age Limit: Up to 35 years as per DST guidelines

B. DBT Multi-institutional project: “Generation of a retrotransposon-based mutant population of chickpea for functional genomics studies”

1. Field Assistant (1 post)

• Emoluments: Rs. 20,000 per month

• Qualification:

• B.Sc. degree or 3 years’ diploma in Engineering and Technology

• Basic laboratory skills and familiarity with log maintenance and excel-based work

• Age Limit: Up to 50 years as per DST guidelines
