Project Associate-II Post at ICAR-IARI, New Delhi

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Project Associate-II (PA-II) under the ANRF-funded project titled “Deciphering the seed transmission of turnip mosaic virus in mustard: From prevalence to mechanism” (Project Code: 12-283). The position is unreserved, purely temporary and contractual, co-terminus with the project, and will be implemented in the Division of Plant Pathology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi.

Project Associate-II	01	Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology / Plant Pathology / Genetics & Plant Breeding / any relevant Life Science discipline with 4/5 years of Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. At least two years of experience in R&D in academic/industrial/research organizations in science and technology. Candidates must be selected through any one of the following national eligibility processes:  a. NET exams such as CSIR/UGC/ARS/GATE including lectureship (Assistant Professorship).  b. National level exams conducted by Central Government Departments/agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DRDO, ICAR, ICMR, IISc, IIT, IISER, etc. (as per ANRF OM No. ANRF/OM/N-01/2024).	Rs. 42,000/- + HRA per month (for candidates fulfilling essential qualifications) Rs. 33,000/- + HRA per month (for candidates not meeting criteria a & b under essential qualifications)

Age Limitation and Other Information

• Upper Age Limit: 50 years (relaxation as per GOI/ICAR norms)
  

• Nature of Employment: Contractual, co-terminus with the project
  

• Terms: No claim for regular appointment at ICAR-IARI. Subject to project funding and performance.
