ICAR- National Research Centre on Seed Spices(NRCSS) has announced an interview for one post of Research Associate(RA), three Senior Research Fellows (SRF), and six Young Professional I(YP-I) under the Project “Developing biotic stress resistant varieties in cumin (Alternaria blight) coriander (stem gall) through genome editing” to be held at Ajmer. Qualifications  and Experience

Research Associate (RA) 

  • MSc. in either Plant Biotechnology, Plant biochemistry, Plant Molecular Biology, Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Agronomy, Bioinformatics, or related fields, along with experience in either plant genomics, transgenic, plant genetic engineering, bioinformatics, proteomics, chromatographic techniques, computer proficiency, molecular biology, plant tissue culture techniques, or bioinformatic analysis. 

  • A doctoral degree (PhD) in plant Biotechnology, plant biochemistry, or related fields from a recognized university is desirable. 

  • Alternatively, candidates with a PhD in plant Biotechnology/plant biochemistry and a recognized university with a ⅘ years bachelor's degree, having first division or 60 percent marks or equivalent overall grade point average, along with at least three years of research experience evidenced from fellowships, associateships, training, or other engagements, and one research paper in a science citation index (SCI)/ NAAS-rated (>4.0) Journal as per OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30.01.2019.

Senior Research Fellow(SRF)

  • MSc. in either Plant Biotechnology, Plant biochemistry, Plant Molecular Biology, Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Agronomy, Bioinformatics, or related fields, along with experience in either plant genomics, transgenic, plant genetic engineering, bioinformatics, proteomics, chromatographic techniques, computer proficiency, molecular biology, plant tissue culture techniques, or bioinformatic analysis. 

  • A doctoral degree (PhD) in plant Biotechnology, plant biochemistry, or related fields from a recognized university is desirable. 

  • Alternatively, candidates with a PhD in plant Biotechnology/plant biochemistry and a recognized university with a ⅘ years bachelor's degree. 

  • Candidates having 3 years of bachelor’s degree should be NET qualified as per OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30.01.2019.

Young Professional I(YP-I)

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Biology, Botany, Agriculture, Bioinformatics, or related fields. Proficiency in computer skills, molecular biology, plant tissue culture techniques, bioinformatic analysis, or field cropping skills is also required.

Monthly Remuneration

  • Research Associate(RA): Rs. 49,000/- + HRA (MSc. Candidates) / Rs. 54,000/- + HRA (PhD Candidates)

  • Senior Research Fellow(SRF): Rs. 31,000/-(Year 1 & 2) / Rs. 35000/-(Year 3) + HRA

  • Young Professional I(YP-I): Rs. 30,000/- per month

Age Limit

  • Research Associate(RA): Candidate should not exceed the age of 40 years for men and 45 years for women

  • Senior Research Fellow(SRF): Candidate should not exceed the age of 35 years for men and 40 years for women

  • Young Professional I(YP-I): The candidate should be within the age limit of 21-45 years.
